Workshops to discuss the future of culture in Preston will take place next week.

So far around 150 people have participated in the consultation process to influence the future of culture in the city but more opinions are needed.

Three workshops will taking place from Monday March 4 as part of the consultation process to develop a Cultural Framework for Preston.

The first will be held at The Continental, South Meadow Lane, Preston on Monday between 3pm and 4.30pm.

The second workshop will take place at The Paviliion at the city’s Avenham Park on March 5 between 12.30pm and 2pm with the final event being held at UClan’s Media Factory on March 7 between 6pm and 7.30pm.

A spokesman for Preston council said: “We want the framework to reflect the aspirations and priorities of local people, so this is the people of Preston’s chance to have their say and influence its development.”

To book your place, visit www.preston.gov.uk and click on the link for the date you wish to attend.

The workshops will be led by an independent consultant.
