A fourth woman has been given an ASBO for stealing from vulnerable people.

The order against Andrena Kelly, 36, of John Street, Coppull, was given at Chorley Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

It comes after ASBOs were granted against three other women in December; Emma Reeves, 36, of Princess Street, Chorley, Tracy Halliday, 40, of Chester Place, Adlington, and Lesley Bennett, 36, of Ashby Street, Chorley.

Police gathered a catalogue of evidence to show the women had been responsible for stealing from and offering services to vulnerable members of the community over the past year, including taking inappropriate sums of money to assist with domestic chores such as shopping.

They also offered sexual services for financial rewards.

Officers believe that there have been in excess 40 victims targeted by the women.
