Cancer fighter Richard Anderson has pushed himself through the pain barrier to complete an 18-mile charity walk with friends and family.
The 43-year-old, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer last August, then soon after was told it had spread to his pancreas, trekked from Preston to Blackpool on Sunday.
They set off from Preston Central Methodist Church at 10am and finished at 6pm. Along the way they collected more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Richard was joined by his mum, sister, nephew, and friends fom the church, as well as his wife Karen and Rev Susan Griffiths. Richard has paid tribute to his wife as “amazing” having herself cover illness to complete the walk. The couple are now thinking about a new project of seeing how far out of Preston they can get in 24 hours with only £20 each in their pockets.
