Traders are seeking the support of the city in voting for Preston Market as the nation’s favourite.
The competition is operated by the National Association of British Market Authority and aims to find Britain’s Favourite Market for 2014. Online voting is now open and will run throughout December.
Mayor of Preston Coun Veronica Afrin said: “It would be fantastic if Preston Market could win the Britain’s favourite market award, as it is such a prestigious award.
