Village road left blocked by accident

A rural village road was blocked following a crash shortly before morning rush hour today, police said.

Officers were called to Cartford Lane, in Little Eccleston, after a white BMW and Iveco van collided at 7.30am.

Nobody was injured in the crash, a spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said.

But motorists face delays until the road was cleared, she added.
