Police have today released this dramatic video footage of officers searching for people trapped in chest-high water during the flooding in Lancaster.

PC Andy Taylor used a body worn camera to record the search operation during the floods caused by Storm Desmond on the evening of Saturday December 5.

During the footage, an officer with a rescue boat is heard to say “this is unbelievable” as he wades through chest-high water near Lancaster bus station.
