UPDATE: Man knifed in the arm

Police investigating an alleged stabbing at an address in Preston Friday afternoon are searching for a black car spotted driving away from the scene.

Officers were called to Brixton Road in Frenchwood by paramedics who were treating a man with a deep wound to his arm.

The victim, said to be a 32-year-old who lived locally, was taken to hospital by ambulance where his condition was later said to be “stable.”

The alarm was raised at around 1.45pm when a man reported he had been stabbed.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a house in Brixton Road, Frenchwood by paramedics following reports that a man has sustained a wound to his arm. The victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw a black coloured car drive off from the address.”
