University appoints new administrative officer

Lancaster University has announced that Nicola Owen will become its new Chief Administrative Officer from January 2013.

Nicola who is currently deputy registrar of the University of Warwick, said: “I am really looking forward to joining the community of distinguished staff, excellent students and engaging with Lancaster’s national and international alumni and partners as the university approaches its 50th anniversary. The strong quality of Lancaster’s research and education means that the university is well placed to pursue and achieve its ambitions and I am delighted to have the opportunity to make a contribution to that process.”

Professor Mark Smith, vice-chancellor, said: “Nicola has demonstrated that she is a formidable and talented administrative colleague.”
