Two face murder conspiracy charges
Two men each charged with two counts of conspiracy to murder following an incident at a house have been remanded in custody by Chorley magistrates.
Christopher Monks, 24, of Preston Road, Clayton-le-Woods, and Shaun Skarnes, of Sutton Way, Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port, will appear at Preston Crown Court on May 5.
Both men have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to murder and Skarnes has also been charged with attempted murder following the incident at an address in Clayton-le-Woods.
A police spokesman said that on February 8 police received a call from a woman in Clayton-le-Woods saying that her husband was being attacked inside their home. The man suffered several knife wounds.
