Traffic on the M6 northbound has returned to normal conditions after major delays.
One lane was closed between junction 31a, Ribbleton and junction 32, Fulwood due to an incident involving a lorry for two hours.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: “A lorry blowout at 10.05am caused one lane to close between junction 31a and 32.
“The lane had to be closed to clear the debris but it was reopened at 12pm.
“The traffic should return to normal immediately.”
