Bosses of a wedding venue have vowed to stay open, despite the hotel firm going into administration.

Arinza Star Hotels Ltd owns the The Mill Hotel in Croston, but it went into administration last week.

Now, owners of the business, Debbie and Marc Williams, say they plan to continue trading as normal, and want to reassure the 60 couples booked for weddings there that they will not be closing.

Debbie Williams said: “We’re worried people will cancel their weddings because of what has happened to Arinza, but we’ve been told to trade as normal and we want to assure people that this won’t affect future business.

“We’re looking at this as a way forward for us, and we have a lot of functions and events booked in the next few months which will go ahead as planned.”

She and husband Marc now want to buy the hotel.

Administrators from Duff & Phelps were at the venue, which also has a restaurant and bar, leisure club and conference rooms, until around 8pm on Thursday. Debbie said nobody is being made redundant.

Arinza also owns The Miraj Hotel and Leisure Club in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Administrators added that they are working with the managers, and that it was too early to know why the company went into administration.
