Woman freed from three-car smash

A woman had to be freed from her vehicle by firefighters following a three-car collision in Buckshaw Village on Saturday afternoon.

Crews from Chorley and Leyland attended the incident in Old Worden Avenue which involved a Peugeot, a VW Polo and a Ford Fiesta and the woman was freed from the Peugeot.

Paul Rigden, watch manager at Leyland fire station, said: “The drivers of the other two cars were out of their vehicles when we arrived and we freed the woman before she was attended to by paramedics.”
