A second crash on Lancashire’s motorway network has added to traffic chaos for morning commuters.

Two HGVS collided at 8.50am on Friday on the M65 eastbound between junctions 1 and 2, at Bamber Bridge.

Firefighters were called to reports that a driver was trapped, but were not needed on arrival.

All three lanes have been blocked and are not expected to reopen fully until 1pm.

The crash has caused traffic delays in the area, adding to problems caused by an overturned 4x4 and trailer between northbound junctions 31 and 31a on the M6 at 5.30am.
