M6 crash causes delays for rush hour commuters

An overturned 4x4 and trailer have caused traffic misery for rush hour commuters on the M6.

The crash, on the southbound carriageway between junctions 31a and 31, was first reported to emergency servcies at 5.30am on Friday and intitially blocked all lanes.

Recovery has taken place and police said lanes one and two reopened around 8am, but there are still delays of around 30 minutes in the area. Normal traffic conditions expected from 9am.

Police said nobody was injured in the crash.
