APPEAL: Teen taken to hospital with broken femur after collision in Preston

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries after he was involved in a collision with a car, say police.

The accident happened on Sunday, May 14 at around 3:15pm when a gold Vauxhall Astra and the boy collided at the junction of Tag Lane and Village Green Lane.

A police spokesman said: "We were called yesterday afternoon to reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a teenage boy and a car.

"An air ambulance was called. The boy was taken to hospital and was later found to have a fractured left femur."

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 quoting log reference 929 of May 14.
