Harry Newbold-Cozens is jumping for joy after winning a major trampolining tournament.

The 11-year-old from Charnock Richard triumphed in the Under-13s boys’ section of the British Trampoline Championships held at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.

Earlier this year, he took second place at the National Schools’ Championship in Bristol, competing for Haskin Pemberton Primary School.

Harry, who starts at Albany Science College, Chorley, next month, is a member of Salford Trampoline Club where he is coached by Stephen Woods and Steve Morton.

He’s been competing at a regional level in the sport since 2008 and in January qualified to compete nationally.

His dedication to trampo lining sees him train for up to 21 hours a week.
