Main roads in central and south Lancashire are to be gritted tonight from 6pm.
Ice and frost, with temperatures reaching -3.6c, is predicted. Gritters will also be out in east Lancashire from 6pm. Snow and ice is expected, along with temperatures reaching -4.9c.
There is queueing traffic on A59 Ring Way inbound in Preston between the A59 Liverpool Road junction and the A5071 Corporation Street junction in the roadworks area. Travel time is at least 30 minutes.
Motorists are queueing on A59 Bank Bridge in both directions in Tarleton between the Coe Lane junction and the B5247 Carr House Lane junction, in the roadworks area.
