South Ribble MP Lorraine Fullbrook throwing her weight behind a bid to encourage safer driving on the region’s roads.
The call comes after she was invited to take part in a taster session in Leyland with group chairman Pasco De Palma.
She said: “In only a short session I have found that the advanced driving techniques not only make me feel more in control, but they have also enhanced the enjoyment of driving.”
She added: “Although the UK has one of the best records on road safety in Europe, too many people are still dying on our roads. We can do better.
“I will continue to work with the local authorities to promote road safety in our area but I really want people here in Leyland to get behind road safety.
“So if you regard yourself as a good driver, but recognise that you can be better, please do consider joining Chorley Advanced Motorists on a course this year and become a better and safer driver.”
