A £60,000 project to resurface part of a Lancashire motorway will get underway at the end of January.
Lane one of the northbound M6, just south of Garstang, is to be resurfaced.
A half-mile section of the carriageway – near the Stubbins Lane local road – between junction 32 at Broughton and Junction 33 at Galgate will benefit from the work.
It will be carried out from next week, overnight between Monday, January 28 and Thursday January 31.
The routine work, which will iron out potholes and other wear and tear, will be done between 10pm and 6am on each of the three nights.
And it will require the closure of both lane one and lane two on the northbound side, with lane three open to traffic but with a 50mph speed limit in place past the site of the roadworks.
The Highways Agency said the work will not cause any inconvenience to drivers.
