Ice warning

Drivers are warned of another cold night, with road surface temperatures expected to fall well below zero in north Lancashire.

Main roads in Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde will be gritted this evening, with other roads gritted tomorrow morning.

Ice is predicted for Central and South Lancashire tonight, and temperatures will reach -4.2. All main roads will be gritted tonight from 6.30pm, and precautionary salt will be applied. Drivers are warned untreated surfaces may be slippy.

Snow and ice is also predicted for East Lancashire, with temperatures reaching -7.2. Precautionary salt will be placed on main roads. All priority routes in East Lancs to be gritted tonight from 7pm.
