Town market bosses are set to host festive spectacular

The Festival Market in Morecambe is hosting its first Christmas Festival this December and inviting anyone interested in having a stall at the event to get in touch.

The Christmas Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2.

Anyone interested in joining the market for the weekend should contact the market as soon as possible to be guaranteed a pitch.

With a visit from Santa on his sleigh, carol singing around the Christmas tree to a brass band and mulled wine and mince pies as well as additional stalls selling unique gifts and stocking fillers, the festival is guaranteed to get shoppers off to a festive start.

Market Manager Tracey Bruce said: “This is our first ever Christmas Festival and we are really excited. We have lots of ideas and want to make it a great weekend for all of our customers.

“We are looking for additional stalls that weekend too so get in touch if you are interested in joining us.”

The event is being supported by Morecambe Town Council.

Santa will also be in the market’s grotto every Sunday in the run up to Christmas.

For a small entry fee, youngsters can meet Father Christmas and receive a special gift.

There will also be free parking on Sundays from November 25 until Christmas.
