Titanic in new show
bygone tragedy: Artefact from the Titanic exhibition at South Ribble Museum in Leyland Picture: NEIL CROSS
A TITANIC enthusiast has lent dozens of pieces of memorabilia to a new exhibition about the doomed liner.
Retired merchant navy steward Tony McGuire has spent years building up his collections of items relating to the famous ship, which sunk on its maiden voyage in 1912. He has picked up postcards, pictures, menus and mementos from the Titanic and from the White Star Line shipping company which owned the passenger liner.
South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre in Leyland is running a 100th anniversary exhibition until January 28.
