Three charged with murder over man's death
Three men have been charged with the murder of a Preston dad.
The body of David Splatt, aged 35, of Derry Road, Greenlands, was discovered on common land between Preston's Grange and Moor Nook estates on Sunday.
Mr Splatt, a father-of-three, had suffered severe head injuries.
Keith Peel, aged 26, of Burnslack Road, Michael Casey, 19, from Firtrees Avenue, Grange, and David Carroll, 21, of Burholme Place, all Ribbleton, were all charged with murder on Wednesday morning.
Police had until 6pm on Wednesday to question the three men after being granted an extension as part of their investigation.
