West Lancashire Council tenants who have ideas to improve the environment in their area can apply for funding to help their schemes.
The Council’s environmental improvement budget is a pot of money intended for projects put forward by people living in council accommodation that can help improve their surroundings.
The council has supported this initiative over recent years and this year increased the amount of money to invest to £54,000.
Coun Val Hopley, portfolio holder for landlord services, said: “We are looking for bright ideas that will make a difference and help transform communal areas.
“This will help make our neighbourhoods better places for tenants and everyone else who goes through those areas.” To find out more or to download an application form visit http://www.westlancs.gov.uk/envirobid.
