Stephen Ponstance, 16, from Westfield Drive in Leyland, was on his way home from the town's Runshaw College when he was involved in a collision with a Renault Clio at the junction of Langdale Road and Worden Lane on Monday, November 24.

He was admitted to the Royal Preston Hospital's intensive care unit but moved to a ward later in the week.
