The Mayor of Chorley will be heading to the fairway for a fund-raising event.
Coun Roy Lees, who is a keen golfer, has organised a charity golf day on Tuesday at Duxbury Park Golf Course in Chorley.
It will raise money for his mayoral charity appeal, which is supporting St Catherine’s Hospice, Home-Start Central Lancashire and Help The Homeless Chorley.
Golfers of all abilities can take part in the golf day for the chance to win an engraved trophy and prizes.
There will be prizes for the nearest the pin and the longest drive, plus a twos competition.
The event will also include a raffle and a presentation.
It is being supported by several local businesses.
Places at the golf day cost £25 per person and include a round of golf, a bacon roll and coffee on arrival, and either hot pot, chilli or a vegetarian option after play.
The event is being run in conjunction with Glendale Golf, which manages the course for Chorley Council.
