A tattoo parlour raised more than £1,000 for an animal charity after holding a special fundraising day.

Staff from True Colours Tattoos and Piercing in Guildhall Street, Preston, held the charity day in aid of Morgan’s Dog Rescue based in Cumbria. The proceeds from their 15 customers on the day went to the charity – with a total of £1,224 being raised.

Tattooists at the shop did a range of jobs on the day including laser removal and piercings but they also did a variety of animal tattoos on their pet loving customers, with a number of special offers and discounts available.

Paul Shaw, from the shop, said: “It was a very successful day. We will definitely do it again, we are thinking of doing it twice a year for different local charities.”
