A Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist is helping a local DJ take on a mammoth task.
Graham Blackedge, who works in the Leyland branch of Rimmers Music, has been asked to help Rock FM breakfast show presenter Jamie Atherton learn a musical instrument in just three days.
Graham was on Preston-based Rock FM’s breakfast show yesterday morning, helping Jamie pick his instrument, and out of a keyboard, drum kit, harmonica, recorder and even a saxaphone, he opted for a euphonium.
Jaime now not only has to teach himself how to play it, but must also able to hold a tune by Friday morning’s breakfast show.
Graham will be back on air on Friday morning to lend his musical ears and see how he gets on.
Graham said: “He’s definitely picked the hardest one to try and play. Good luck to him I can’t wait to go back on Friday and see how he’s got on.
“Euphonium is about the only instrument we don’t offer lessons on at Rimmers music; if he’s picked anything else he could have come along to the shop and had a few lessons.”
