Over three days participants of all abilities take the plunge in stunning Windermere over a range of distances which also features thrilling elite races with some of the world’s best swimmers.
The Baby Beat Appeal is a registered charity based in Preston, Lancs and raises money to ensure unborn babies are provided with the latest monitoring equipment from conception to birth.
Baby Beat’s manager Karen Entwistle said: “We are enormously grateful to Steve for his support which will enable our latest project; research into stillbirths and premature labours with a view of finding possible new causes and more importantly preventatives.“
