Commuters were stopped in their tracks by a surprise musical flash mob at Preston train station.
The cast of new musical Stop the Train turned the train platform into their stage to perform a song from the show yesterday afternoon.
They were joined by commuters for the funky routine of ‘Do It” ahead of tonight’s performance at Preston’s Charter Theatre.
Amy Forrest plays Ilya Amenkina in the show and the actress hailed the people of Preston for getting on board.
She said: “It was fantastic, the energy has been amazing. All the people getting the trains have been like ‘what is going on?’ People have joined in and it is great to bring theatre into different spaces and show them what Stop the Train is all about.”
The feel-good show about commuters on a train has been written by Rick Guard, from Chorley and Phil Rice, from Leyland.

And North End fan Rick said he could not miss the opportunity to stage an event so close to his home town. He said: “We couldn’t miss the chance with a show like Stop The Train to partner up with Virgin in Preston. I loved it, to see people getting involved in this is what it is all about.”
PNE stars Kyel Reid, Jordan Hugill and Neil Kilkenny watched from the sidelines and revealed that team mate Josh Brownhill is set to swap Deepdale for the stage and star in tonight’s show.
Kyel said: “I will be down there to support Josh and give him a bit of stick afterwards.”
