West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging people to support HeadSmart: be brain tumour aware.
The campaign, set up by the Brain Tumour Charity, is attempting to increase awareness of the symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people.
So far thousands of schools and organisations have taken part in the campaign by distributing symptom awareness cards.
The aim of the campaign is to reduce the time it takes to diagnose childhood brain tumours. It is setting out to make more parents and GPs aware of what symptoms to look out for, so that more lives can be saved.
Rosie Cooper MP said:“I am encouraging West Lancashire schools, GPs and health professionals to distribute this information and be more brain tumour aware. Through raising awareness and having more information about the symptoms of brain tumours it could help save lives.”
