Lancashire runners who missed out on a space on the Great North Run are urged to run as part of the Sue Ryder team.
The run takes place on Sunday September 7 and Sue Ryder has a number of its own guaranteed places available for Lancashire runners who did not wish to enter the ballot or are unsuccessful when the places are announced.
Karen Jones, Lancashire fundraiser, said: “The Great North Run is a hugely popular event with both beginners and experienced runners and places are becoming increasingly hard to gain.
“We are proud to be a Gold Status charity for this event which enables us to offer a number of places for the race. In 2012 Sue Ryder had an amazing 144 people take part in the Great North Run collectively raising £48,000.”
