Strictly Come Dancing... and no Sergeant in sight

Rumba! Strictly Come Dancing stars Kristina Rihanoff and Brian Fortuna brought a transatlantic flavour to dance fans in Preston – and there could be more to come.

The pair danced the cha-cha, rumba and the mambo to an audience at the Dance With Passion studio in London Road.

They then wowed the sell-out crowd with performances of the American Smooth and New York Hustle.

Studio owner Jason Parkinson said he is also hoping to get fellow Strictly stars Matthew and Nicole Cutler down to the city in the near future. He said: "In the last 18 months since we opened the studio in Preston, we have had great interest from top performers.

"We are one of very few local venues which can stage this kind of event and we are expecting more to come soon.

"Kristina and Brian were great because they were doing dances from America which were like nothing our crowd would have seen before."

The studio will play host to street dance expert Marcquelle Ward, who performed in ITV's Britannia High, who is will be teaching local children his moves on Thursday.
