Motorway crash lane closure
Commuters was delayed on the M6 due to an accident at rush hour. One lane of the northbound carriageway was closed yesterday following the incident between junctions 27 and 28 at around 7.30am. No details of the crash have yet been released.
Living room fire
Firefighters tackled a blaze in the living room of a house in Moss Lane, Tarleton last night. The blaze caused severe damage to a dining table and chairs and an area of carpet.

Shed damaged as bins burns
A shed was badly damaged when two wheelie bins caught fire in Garstang. Firefighters were called to Parkhill Road at around 2.45am yesterday. They said the fire had spread to a concrete built shed, but it is not yet known whether the fire was started deliberately.
Cyclist injured in collision with car
A cyclist was taken to hospital after he was involved in a crash with a car. Paramedics and firefighters attended the scene in Westwood Road, Clayton Le Woods, near The Pines Hotel, at around 3.30pm on Sunday. They said the 48-year-old man was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
A kitchen was damaged by smoke when the contents of a pan caught fire at a home in Clayton Brook. Firefighters attended the scene in Carr Barn Brow at around 2.45pm on Sunday.
