Booths donated £2,000 to the Chorley Astley Rotary Club Beer Festival for the fifth year running – marking a sponsorship of £10,000 since the festival launched in 2009.
Richard Sykes, store manager at Chorley Booths, presented a cheque to David Holland, chairman of the festival committee, and Mike English, president of the Rotary Club of Chorley Astley at the festival which was attended by more than 1,000 people.
Mr Sykes said: “It’s a pleasure to be able to support highly regarded community events like the Chorley Beer Festival which bring local people together.
“Beers excite us at Booths –it’s a passion which has led us to develop an unrivalled range of over 200 bottles beers and 40 ciders. The calibre of breweries and skill of brewers in the North and across the country is extraordinary and we can’t resist an opportunity to shout about an exceptional pint and what makes it so special.”
