Preston comedian John Thomson has revealed he turned down the chance to take part in ITV’s new diving reality show Splash.
The series, which features Olympic diver Tom Daley as the expert mentor to celebrities trying to master the art of diving, has been heavily criticised by TV critics.
And the 43-year-old former Cold Feet and Fast Show star wrote on Twitter: “Thank God I didn’t agree to do #splash”
The ex-All Hallows Catholic High School, Penwortham, pupil added: “God help us!
“Yet another all-time low for television.”
