Volunteers turned out in full force to spruce up a stretch of Preston’s popular Guild Wheel by planting hundreds of bulbs.

Helpers planted the bulbs on part on the popular route near the River Ribble close to the Shawes Arms and Fishwick Nature Reserve, in London Road, Preston.

The planting was part of ongoing ecological improvements to the greenway. Volunteers from organisations including the Lancashire Wildlife Trust helped out on the day.
