Slimmer wins award

Slimmer: Liz Knight

Slimmer: Liz Knight

A woman who lost more than half her body weight has won the ‘Biggest Loser Slimmer of the Year’ award at the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Magazine annual awards.

Liz Knight, 26, from Lancaster, used to weigh 25st 10lb and wear a size 32/34 and has lost more than half her body weight to bring her down to a size 14 and a healthy 11st 4lb.

Liz was approved for funding and booked in for a gastric band operation - but it terrified her so much, she cancelled it and decided to have one last attempt.

Her friend who was planning to get married in Ireland, laid down the gauntlet by telling Liz that if she lost five stones by the wedding, she would pay her fare to Ireland.

Liz joined the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Club and, by the time of the wedding, she had lost 10 stones.
