SIX men are expected to appear for a trial at Preston Crown Court in connection with a cash in transit robbery at a Preston store.

It follows an investigation into a robbery which happened while a security guard was collecting money from the JTF Megastore Warehouse on Pittman Way, Fulwood on July 9 last year.

Daniel Barnes, 21, of Tag Lane, Ingol; Liam Malcolm, 29, of Sylvancroft, Preston; Wesley Harriott, 23, of Bowlingfield, Ingol; Christopher Sharp, 26, of Royal Drive, Fulwood; Christopher Handley, 21, of Asland Close, Bamber Bridge; Joe Pownall, 23, of Wallets Wood Court, Chorley have all been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Preston Magistrates’ Court committed the case to crown and the men will next appear on April 5.
