A meeting to decide the future of a Leyland shop’s licence has been postponed.
South Ribble Council’s Licensing Panel was due to meet yesterday afternoon to discuss the licence of Singh Stores in Bannister Drive, Leyland, but was cancelled because a councillor due to sit on the panel was unwell.
The meeting has been rearranged for Tuesday February 5.
A time for the meeting has yet to be confirmed.
As reported by the Evening Post, police had called for Singh Stores in Bannister Drive, Leyland, to have its licence revoked following concerns over “the management of the premises and compliance with legislation.”
A report that was due to go before the meeting read: “The premises came to the attention of the police following a report of a fight involving a member of staff and a customer.”
