South Ribble Tennis and Fitness Centre is set to serve up 20 years as a top sporting facility in Bamber Bridge.

And to celebrate the milestone, free tennis sessions are to be held on June 29 to coincide with the Great British Tennis Week and Wimbledon.

The sessions will include indoor tennis, mini tennis, touch tennis and cardio tennis. The centre officially opened on August 19, 1994 and boasts seven indoor tennis courts and four floodlit outdoor courts.

Coun Phil Smith, member for leisure, said: “The centre is a fantastic facility that is used by all walks of life and we look forward to another 20 years of success.”
