The annual search is on to find the High Sheriff of Lancashire’s Young Citizen of the Year 2014.
The awards are designed to promote and celebrate the fantastic work that young people do every day which goes unheard and unrecognised.
High Sheriff Barry Johnson is looking for young inspiring people who have put others first and made a difference to an individual, organisation or their neighbourhood.
“We know from previous entries across the years that there are a great number of young people in the county who make an outstanding contribution to the communities in which they live,” said Ian Wood of sponsors BAE Systems. “We are keen to encourage people to put nominations forward.”
Lancashire Chief Constable Steve Finnigan said: “These awards highlight some of the great work of youngsters who dedicate so much of their time and energy into making life better for others. They are a true inspiration.”
