Put your best foot forward by getting involved in this year’s Sports Relief Mile.

Lancaster City Council is encouraging local residents to take part in Lancaster and Morecambe’s Sport Relief Mile when it comes to Salt Ayre Sports Centre later this month.

Councillor Ron Sands, Cabinet member with responsibility for leisure, said: “Last time, our event raised over £10,000 and we would like more of you involved to get that total even higher so don’t forget to bring along your friends, family, partner and colleagues too.”

This year, participants will have the choice of completing three distances, either one, three or six miles.

Registration for the events starts at 9.45am with a warm-up at 10.30am.

All three races begin at 10.45am.

Entry fees are £6 for adults and £3 for under 16s.

A family ticket, for two adults and two children, is also available for £15.
