The audiology department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary is offering free hearing tests at a roadshow in Lancaster today.
The audiology team has won a service contract under a new scheme designed to offer GPs and their patients better access to a wider choice of treatment.
The new contract has lowered the age limit which patients with hearing problems can be referred directly to the audiology department. Patients of 55 years or over no longer need to be referred for initial screening through the (ear, nose and throat) ENT department.
The roadshow will take place at Lancaster Town Hall today from 10am to 3pm.
