A road has been closed due to a demonstration in Carnforth, say police.

The B6254, Kellet road has been closed in both directions between A601 and Kirkby Lonsdale Road.

A spokesman for Lancashire police said: "We are currently at the scene of a protest that has taken place outside the entrance of a quarry. Lorries are backing up along the road causing an obstruction but we expect they will be moved shortly."
