Revised plans for a housing development on the edge of Longridge have been lodged.
Fox Strategic Land and Property Ltd have submitted plans for up to 220 homes, offices and apartments with care at the former Ridings Depot and land to the north and south of Whittingham Road.
The outline application is a revised submission of previous plans including up to 200 homes and a fitness facility and swimming pool, which were allowed on appeal earlier this year. The revised scheme involves replacing the leisure element with more homes, and is minded for approval subject to a Section 106 agreement at next week’s planning committee meeting.
Julie Buttle, clerk to Whittingham Parish Council, said: “We feel it shouldn’t be developed - there’s no infrastructure in place, it is green fields.
“All of these arguments are the views of the parish council and nothing has changed in that apart from the fact we’ve lost the appeal, so this looks likely to be approved.”
