A Chorley restaurant is celebrating after being selected once again to serve dinner to the borough’s number one citizen.
Camerons will deliver all the catering for the Mayor’s Civic Dinner on May 22.
The prestigious event, in the refurbished Lancastrian Suite in Chorley Town Hall, is one of the borough’s highlights of the year, with local dignitaries attending the dinner to welcome the new mayor - who this year is councillor Marion Lowe.
This is the fourth civic dinner for Camerons, who are based at Birkacre Nurseries and Garden Centre, Birkacre Road, Chorley.
The evening will start with councillor Lowe and her consort councillor Adrian Lowe greeting guests as they arrive, followed by the meal served
by the 10 strong restaurant team.
After dinner there will be two formal speeches, one from the mayor and one from Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle.
There will also be a raffle prize draw in aid of Derian House Children’s Hospice, St Catherine’s Hospice and Homestart, the mayor’s chosen charities for the year.
Camerons is donating a prize voucher for a traditional three-course Sunday lunch for four people with a bottle of wine.
Chris Cameron, owner of Camerons and a renowned chef, said: “We’re thrilled to have been chosen to deliver the catering for such a prominent event.”
