AN award-winning Indian restaurant is hoping to add to their silverware after being nominated for a prestigious accolade.
The Double Tree Indian Restaurant in Fulwood, Preston has been nominated in the Restaurant of The Year (North West) category in the English Curry Awards 2013 which honours the restaurant serving up the finest curry cuisine and atmosphere in England.
Sayeed Amin, assistant manager at the Double Tree said; “We are really honoured to be nominated for the award.
“Our main focus at the restaurant are the customers and we are always keen to provide good food and good service.”
The third annual English Curry Awards will take place at Salford City Stadium on September 2 and the glittering ceremony will highlight the value of all those who work tirelessly to provide the perfect dish as well as recognising individuals who consume it with great passion.
The Garstang Road restaurant is no stranger to acclaim.
In 2011 the Double Trees won at the British Curry Awards and again at the English Curry Awards 2012.
Sayeed said; “This year we have been nominated thanks to our Wild African Jumbo Prawn curry which is very popular with our customers.
“It is a medium spiced seafood dish that always goes down well.”
Yasmin Mahmood, Operations Director for event organiser Oceanic Consulting who will stage the awards ceremony said: “We wish all the finalists the best of luck.
“I am sure it will be fantastic evening.”
Preston’s Spice King on Ronaldsway has also been nominated for the North West Takeaway of The Year.
