A Summer raffle event has come up trumps for a Preston charity by raising a record breaking cash sum.
Sight loss charity, Galloway’s Society for the Blind were supported by accountancy firm, Moore and Smalley to help make their annual Summer Raffle one to remember.
The raffle, which was drawn at the head office of Moore and Smalley, was sponsored by the company and saw a record breaking grand total of £7,000 raised.
Emma Russ, Senior Fundraiser at Galloway’s, said: “It will cost us £1million this year to continue supporting and offering a variety of services to local visually impaired people.
“This year’s raffle made a record breaking total for us and it’s only with people taking part are we able to reach this goal.”
