An awareness event to mark World Autism Day will be held in Preston on Wednesday.
From 11am until 2pm there will be more than 30 organisations on Preston Flag Market to mark the day.
It is the first time an awareness event on this scale to mark the day has been put inLancashire .
The event is being organised by parent carers and Connect4life part of Lancashire County Council in conjunction with the autism strategy board.
The organisers are inviting all groups and organisations who work with people with Autistic Spectrum Condition to come along on the day and share information of the work they do with autistic people.
The event on the Flag Market will be officially opened by the Mayor of Preston, Coun Veronica Afrin. She will cut a royal blue ribbon to mark the opening.
The event aims to raise awareness and offer advice.
